Altar of Sacrifice

God provided manna for the Israelites to eat in the wilderness. They were to gather only what was needed for the day. Any left over to the next day would rot and have worms. However, on the sixth day they were to gather double for the seventh day. God would preserve the manna gathered for the seventh day so that the Israelites did not have to work on the Sabbath. God told Moses and Aaron to put a portion of the manna in the ark to serve as a reminder that God would provide for them. The Israelites ate Manna for forty years while in the wilderness. (Exodus 16:13-36)
